2025 is here and I am again ready to share with you and my larger community again! I am enthused to share BIG news in two directions.

1) BODYCROWNS: A Celestial Archetype Portrait Series. In 2025 I am offering a collaborative commission opportunity for 2 people to join me on an intimate journey, a transformative 4-6 month creative experience, culminating in the creation of an individual life-sized, personalized hand-assembled portrait. Drawing inspiration from Eastern Thangka paintings, Hindu yantra diagrams, sand-paintings, and traditional lacework, these portraits incorporate appliquéd beads, gemstones, 3D-printed forms, sensors, fiber optics, blades and micro-lenses to visualize the body’s energy field in a luminous geometric display.​

​The creative healing adventure includes a body tracing, Vedic Jyotish/Astrology reading, attending the Tucson Gem & Mineral Show together to select gemstones and minerals for appliqué, hikes, botanical guidance, and meditation. 2) Indestructible Beauty [version 2] I have confirmed funding via a state grant [60k] for 2025 to give 8 workshops to teens and young adults around Media Violence Prevention by the Department of Health in various cities in New Mexico. Through a series of synchronicities and my inner explorations around cultural grooming I was led to refine my Indestructible Beauty course to offer support to youth around media violence and media literacy. I AM SO ENTHUSED & GRATEFUL. If you know of anyone age 13-17 in Santa Fe they can sign-up HERE for the first one! 7 more in 2025 through out NM are being organized now!

HIGHLIGHTS FROM THE LAST 1.5 YEARS:

In Jan 2024 I moved to Santa Fe, New Mexico! It has been an intense and introspective phase. After 6 years I departed my beloved studio in Jerome in July 2023 and began seeking my next creative home. I knew I wanted to stay in the Southwest and so I was considering Tucson, LA and Santa Fe as the main contenders. I aspired, prayed and asked for guidance from my intuition to lead me.. and it did not disappoint! Santa Fe chose me!

In Aug of 2023 I visited a dear friend who had moved the year prior from Brooklyn, NY. In a conversation I mentioned I wanted to give more art talks. She suggested I apply to give a PechaKucha talk at SITE Santa Fe under the theme of MYTH. I was accepted and returned in Nov 2023 to give my talk. You can see my lightning talk about the evolution of my art (20 slides x 20 sec each) DIVINE ARMOR HERE. It is the best art talk I have ever given! It had to be refined to the core essence of my message to share 20+ years in 6min 40sec.

From this talk I was invited to commission Agave Leaf Wings (No 17) for Santa Fe reading week with Creative Santa Fe and Santa Fe Southside Library. The book chosen for reading week was CIRCE by Madeline Miller (highly recommend) and my art was to compliment the theme of The Hero’s Journey, Female Strength, and Greek Mythology. They were displayed for 5 weeks and I gave an art talk (that the Santa Fe mayor attended.. luckily I was not aware of this at the time :)

This commission led to the RELENTLESS DIVINITY (title from a quote in Circe) exhibition at Santa Fe Community Gallery. Such a gift to share with new local friends!! I made a new pair of 16' wings with local yucca leaves as agaves do not grow wild here in Santa Fe.

CREATIVE LIFE PERSISTENCE. I got lots of press and I sold 1 art print at my show. As I was wrapping up I said a prayer to my Inner Wise Woman and Momma Jean Angel - if I am not currently selling enough artwork right now to survive.. where is the thread of support and abundance? Please show me the way. Within the week I was introduced to 2 women, one works for the Arts & Culture Dept. for the city of Santa Fe and one helps manages the Violence Prevention Program for New Mexico and they were both lamenting the fact that the fiscal year was ending in June 2024 and they both had money left over in their business accounts that had not been given away. PingPingPing!!?!

Since June 2024 I have been taking the steps necessary for aligning with funding for my second iteration of Indestructible Beauty. As you might remember my last newsletter in 2023 was titled: Reverence vs Revenge.. how do we support collective Revelation? I was focused on sharing my passionate research on our current cultural reckoning. For me it is about feeling safe enough to feel beautiful. I believe this is the higher potential of what the #MeToo movement that started in 2017. Now it is not just about speaking truth to power, it's about the inherent right to express truth and beauty without fear.

​Indestructible Beauty REDEFINED: Social media & AI can be a double edge sword and is often used to influence, imprint and injure. Social media & AI can also be a tool for discovery, illumination and inspiration. We will discuss how we can collectively create change by using media as a tool to communicate our passions, originality and vision for a better future. We are not victims when we are creating. OTHER NEWS: In December I hired a metal worker down the street to build an adjustable stand for the Agave Leaf Wings (No 17) so they could be displayed at an annual Holiday Gratitude Gala in Santa Fe. When I moved to Santa Fe last January I was part of Bryan Johnson's newsletter and he sent out a message to start having meet-ups across the world.. so I volunteered to be the host for one in Santa Fe to build new community! We did one in Feb and one in March 2024. Bryan and team asked us to send in videos of our group.. it was only me and one other woman who showed up... but we sent in our video anyways. I signed a release form a few months ago for it be included. ✨
